If it's too big to fail, it's too big to exist. That's the bottom line.
The greed, recklessness, and illegal behavior on Wall Street drove this country into the worst recession since the Great Depression. In the midst of all of this grotesque inequality sits a handful of financial institutions that are still so large, the failure of any one would cause catastrophic risk to millions of Americans and send the world economy into crisis.
I introduced legislation in Congress that would break up too big to fail banks. Can you sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of my bill to show your support?

(15,435 posts)from movers & shakers in the Democratic Party to quash Bernie's message. Chris Mathews last night hyping it up with Ted Cruz and back today repeating the same thing. Then having Barnie Frank on talking about Bernie being a Socialist and more comments about why Bernie shouldn't be taken seriously. It DOES show that he's made them nervous and I did think this was going to happen, but it really ticks me off that they are trying so hard to dismiss him. Barnie Frank has always claimed to be a "real liberal" yet he's calling Bernie a leftist! WOW! I always liked Frank and it's sad to see him getting on board so quickly to kick Bernie to the side.
