Sen. Sanders gives Iowans 'sneak peak' of new campaign video
The campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders offered thousands of Iowans a "sneak peak" of a new campaign video.
(snip)
The Sanders campaign sent letters to 100,000 Iowans and gave them a first look at a new five-minute video. In the letter, Sanders said he is constantly struck by Iowans' level of enthusiasm and engagement in the political process.
"Everywhere I go, from Des Moines to small towns, Iowans are there ready to discuss the critical issues facing our country," it states. "It is clear to me that the people of Iowa take the responsibility of being the first-in-the-nation caucus very seriously, and the unique role you play in the American political process."
The video is part biography, part stump speech. It traces Sanders' history growing up in an immigrant-heavy Brooklyn neighborhood, his first mayoral election which he won by ten votes and his Congressional accomplishments.
