I disagree with the concluding paragraph. Sure, they could hire paid staffers and I am sure they will. But there is no reason why unpaid volunteers can not coordinate, train, and effectively work with local volunteers. I know I will be doing so. I have already met with about 50 former students, their spouses and partners, and a group of their friends on Sunday after the Phoenix Town Hall on Saturday. We value the freedom to assist Sanders in ways that may not be possible in a top-down management style.

Overall, I am excited and quite hopeful as I see more and more of his campaigning this election season unfold.

and make compilation of data much easier! Facebook is a dream for getting info out, so reduces costs of mailing.

Facebook also lets friends reach their friends and their friends, etc, the domino effect!

We already have more experienced people willing to join, help and mentor our group.

So we have a huge variety of levels of experience. I was a coordinator for a local issue in 2004, so I learned a lot way back then. And have helped on campaigns since I was in high school, which was quite awhile ago.

I am so excited and so are those joining our group.

A side note is that those working for the other candidate don't seem to have that sparkle in their eye when their candidate's name is mentioned. Bernie people are super enthusiastic!

but some will be better left to those that already have training in certain areas.

I am going to post things I find helpful. Some people are out in the boonies and some has great access to local existing groups.

But with the internet there is much that can be shared easily. Not every group will do everything.

We still need to find a website developer, but then again have just started building our volunteer list. It is still very early, so things will fall into place gradually. It will be much easier when the students come back to town!

Do you have a college nearby? That is a great resource for techies.

I try to not reinvent the wheel, there is lots of info out there about how to do stuff, and creative ideas for helping a campaign.

Google is your friend.
