I'll answer here rather than on GD.

I love Bernie. The other day the head of our local Dems said to me "I know you supported Sanders, but we're all realistic here. there's just no way to pay for the "pie in the sky." And I responded, I voted for and supported Hillary, but only because she was the best one in the race, but yes, we can pay for universal health care and free college. We're a rich country,but the rich have it all. Redistribute some of that wealth, cut the military, and we can do anything. She just looked at me and shook her head.

Democrats don't believe in that anymore, but Bernie and a whole hell of a lot of us still do.

All that said, I want a woman candidate.
