NY Times:Bernie Sanders Says He Has the Money to Campaign Beyond California Primary

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/02/us/politics/bernie-sanders-campaign-california-primary.html

SPRECKELS, Calif. — Bernie Sanders signaled Wednesday that he would continue his presidential campaign beyond the California primary next week, saying he had the money to keep running until the Democratic National Convention next month.

During a news conference while campaigning in California, the Vermont senator said he already had plans to host events in Washington next week and to lobby superdelegates to withdraw their support from Hillary Clinton and back him instead. He added that he felt confident he can win California’s primary on Tuesday and that Mrs. Clinton was campaigning in the state because of polls showing the two locked in a tight race there. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released on Wednesday shows the race in a statistical tie.

I'm a long term lurker here at du. I've never felt the urge to post before as it seems someone always has my thoughts well before I could put them in writing. But today I feel the urge to encourage all of you. I am an independent voter. I've voted on both sides of the aisle and I don't mind admitting that. Party loyalty has never been a thing to me as the parties have never been loyal to me. They say what they want to get our vote and then act as they want once elected. I will not, and cannot vote for Hillary. I can vote for Bernie. Though I do not agree with all his views, I agree with his honesty and character. Keep doing what you are doing. Those of us in the middle see it for what it is and appreciate it.
