Oct. 2012 and the "Underground" part seemed to me to be, uh, a bit of an overstatement even then.

I cast my first vote back in the '70s, and celebrated all night when the Dems retook the Senate in '86. That victory was supposed to have been a major repudiation of Reaganism, but the party actually seems to have embraced it.

We were all against Citizens United, Big Money Fat Cats control of our government, Corp-Media, etc.

Then the Oligarchy got wise and bought and paid for the control of our Party. They backed the conservative (Third Way/old DLC) Wing of our Party and divided the Party. Now the Conservative/Clinton Wing embrace Big Money Fat Cats, Citizens United and the Corp-Media. Now to be true to our name we should be Democratic Underground fighting the Oligarchy and their choosen, Hillary Clinton. Just one problem and now the name seems somehow inappropriate. Maybe is will be changed to Democratic Establishment.

Of course, I'm holding out in my prayers for Hillary actually surprising us all and running as a Progressive and evolving into the greatest Liberal President since FDR.

Like I say, in my prayers. Could happen. And I believe would happen if she and the party leaders realize what time we are in and what the people are ready for.

By the way, it's not the 90's.

Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party have been bought and paid for by the largest corporations.

Anyone making under $X per year and supporting the status quo is by definition an unwitting stooge for the .01%.

"He just supports people. That's humanity at its finest. That's the kind of president that I want." Bernie.
