"Bernie Sanders polled higher than Clinton in a general election meeting with Trump. Sanders — now a long shot to become the Democratic nominee — bests Trump 47 percent to 42 percent in a hypothetical contest. Sanders also had the highest favorability rating (47 percent), compared with 40 percent for Trump and 31 for Clinton."

4. Sanders has to be on the ballot to get votes

Doesn't matter if he beats Trump by any amount, unless he runs third party. In that scenario, he still wins nothing, but MAY enable Trump to gain the presidency. I know this upsets Sanders' supporters, but it is the cold, hard truth. Just like the republicans are facing the cold hard truth about Trump being nominated.

IMO, democrats can band together and easily defeat a Trump run, or they can remain divided and likely lose the whitehouse. Yeah, its a catch 22, but what you gonna do? The only decent scenario I see for a successful campaign is for a Clinton/Sanders ticket or for Sanders supporters to hold their nose and vote for Clinton and her pick for veep.

The choice is up to each of us, but it appears that this , too, is a hard cold truth.

He said he wouldn't. If he doesn't mince words, he is going to support Clinton and hopefully gain some clout in bringing about change. Not the way a lot of us wanted, but it is what it is.

things already. I agree. It *may not turn out just how we wanted. It could have, had the irregulars not occurred throughout, and had the DLC/DNC not been in collusion with HRC throughout. But, it is coming, and quickly. We will gain strength ongoing.

...the rich have most of the money and they will be after the rest of it. But what's the value of something unsupported by the masses? A revolution will happen, but it will come by popular opinion.....when enough people realize there is no other option. And I hope it comes via peaceful and thoughtful consideration rather than by force.

10. Clinton should drop out

Her legal and ethical issues are manifold, and how she will do against Trump because of that is part of why Sanders is the better candidate for us.

So it does matter how Sanders will beat Trump. It's a part of why Sanders is polling so well in Oregon, and in the future even the establishment is going to see that Secretary Clinton is far too risky to stay behind.
