Join Bernie Sanders for a community meeting in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

This event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served.

For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. No outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility through the security checkpoints. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security.Public transit is available via Oglala Sioux Transit (OST).

1. Bernie Sanders is bringing his campaign to Indian Country again.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is bringing his campaign to Indian Country again.

Sanders will appear at a community meeting on the Pine Ridge Reservation, home to the Oglala Sioux Tribe, on Thursday. The event takes place at the gym at the Pine Ridge School at 8:45am Central time.

Sanders will then travel to Rapid City for rally in Memorial Park. The event takes place at 12pm.

"We are excited to welcome Senator Bernie Sanders to South Dakota. I think he’ll find an active, enthusiastic group of progressives ready to fight on behalf of our shared values this fall—open and transparent government that serves the people over special interests, access to quality education and affordable health care,” Suzanne Jones Pranger the executive director of the South Dakota Democratic Party, said in a press release.
