Update from Maine State Convention - Super Delegates' power significantly reduced

Hi all. Been a while since I've last posted, but figured it was worth it to stop in and let you know what happened at the Maine State Convention today. One of the amendments that we voted on and approved will force Super Delegates to support Presidential Candidates in proportion to the vote of the people. In other words, Bernie (or anyone) winning states with 60-70% of the vote and receiving no Super Delegate support won't happen anymore, at least in Maine. This will take effect starting in 2020. There was a big push to force the rule change to take effect immediately, but apparently there were procedural rules in place preventing that from happening. All in all it was a good day for Bernie at the convention. Here's a video of the aforementioned motion passing with a voice vote.

It probably will take a decade or more, but it will happen.
