My guess?
Trump will start moving slightly left, and will continue to do so at a quicker pace after the convention. He will find a moderate VP running mate...someone that his base won't like very much.
By late September, he will acknowledge that a wall can't be built, that deporting millions of illegals would cause a financial nightmare for the US, and that all Muslims aren't terrible people.
He will hint at the need to raise taxes on the middle class and wealthy. He will say that the ACA should remain as it is, until something better comes along, because he has met so many wonderful folks who are poor and uninsured on the campaign trail.
If none of the above is enough to piss off the right wingnuts, I suspect a recording of the Donald himself will show up, referring to those who support him as clueless rubes who will believe anything he tells them...in Trump-like insulting, vulgar terms.
He will do anything necessary to hand the Presidency to Clinton.
Because...that is the plan.
