Joke I heard yesterday about Trump.

If Trump is elected president, Californians are going to move to Mexico because at least in Mexico, there will be a fence to keep Trump out.

Another Trump joke in California is just asking someone, "Are you going to vote for Trump?" Everyone bursts out laughing. Not many Trump supporters in California although there are a few.

2. And paid for it dearly. He left California's finances in a typical Republican mess.

We have a lot of new voters in California now.

Trump is a problem because we have a lot of Catholic and other abortion voters. They vote against abortion in most elections and don't pay much attention to other issues.

But . . . the issues of immigration and race are grabbing their attention this year. They don't like Trump. Many of them will not vote Republican this year because of statements that Trump made and cannot believably retract.

It's an interesting year. Republicans can just write off California.

5. Yes. But demographics and sources for information have changed a lot since Reagan

and even since Schwarzenegger. The internet is just starting to make a huge impact on our politics.
