Indiana Exit Poll: More White Women, Younger Voters and Liberals Deliver Victory to Sanders

(snip)
White women represented 43 percent of Indiana Democrats, up from an average of 34 percent in prior primaries. Fifty-six percent of white women voted for Bernie Sanders, a 12-point gain from previous primaries.

Changes in the age of Tuesday's electorate also influenced the outcome. There were fewer senior voters in the Indiana electorate; they represented 16 percent of voters. Sanders picked up 34 percent of the senior vote versus an average of 26 percent in other states.

More voters in Indiana identified themselves as liberals, and the majority voted for Sanders on Tuesday. Clinton has been winning an average of 54 percent of liberals in prior primaries. Among liberals in Indiana, 56 percent voted for Sanders.

72 percent of Independents (22 percent of the electorate)

...feminism. Clinton is no more for women than she is for men, if they are poor. What does it mean to an overworked poor woman who is trying to hold down 2 shit pay jobs, or can't find any jobs--that there is a "glass ceiling" preventing her from becoming a CEO? Feminism for the rich, and shit pay or no pay for the poor, women and men--that's what's happening.

I notice that the Clinton supporters here get all worked up over a word like "whore" but their candidate couldn't care less about people who have to become whores because there is no other work.

Feminism is not a word game. It is, to most women, facing the STARK REALITY of not being able to feed and house themselves and their dependents, of suffering poor nutrition, of having not even a chance in hell of a college education, of the constant threat of being thrown out on the street, of the depression of having no options--and fighting back, on a fundamental level, for dignity and for the ability to enjoy a decent life. What does Hillary Clinton know of this, or Gloria Steinem, or any of the glitteratti feminists in that elite, uber rich set of people? They have plenty of time for word games and political manipulation, but don't give a crap for the millions of REAL feminists fighting for their lives. The poor majority--whether here, or in Honduras, or in Libya.
