INDIANA: CLINTON, SANDERS In Statistical TIE, 50-46, New NBC News/WSJ/Marist Poll.

The Hill, May 1, Poll: Clinton, Sanders in Statistical Tie in Indiana.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton has a 4-point lead over rival Bernie Sanders days ahead of Indiana’s primary, within a new poll’s margin of error.

Clinton leads the Vermont senator among likely Democratic primary voters, 50 percent to 46 percent, in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Sunday morning.
The NBC/WSJ/Marist poll, conducted April 26–28, has a margin of error of 4.6 percentage points for Democrats.

Clinton leads Sanders by 6.2 points in Indiana, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Independents or first time voters....Indiana seems to have a rather reasonable approach to encouraging people to vote. What a contrast to some the the latest shenanigans we've seen lately.


Mixed

A mixed primary incorporates elements of open and closed primaries. In most mixed primary states, the power to choose who can vote in primaries falls to the political parties. Some states permit independents to vote without altering their unaffiliated status, while others require a day-of declaration of party affiliation. However, these rules vary greatly from state-to-state.
