Bernie Sanders

Five posts since last night's primaries. Here's what's at the top of the page, as of 1:30PM CDT:Here's what I say to all those who are telling me Bernie should leave the race: Baloney. He should and will fight on, despite the worsening odds of his winning the nomination.
His campaign isnt and has never been mainly about Bernie Sanders. Its about a movement to reclaim our democracy from the moneyed interests, and thereby have an economy thats working for the many rather than the few.
That movement has attracted unprecedented support in this election -- from millions of young people, from a record number of small donors, from an upsurge of progressives determined to change the system.
That movement should have every opportunity to be heard and to continue to grow not just through the upcoming Indiana, Oregon, District of Columbia, and California primaries, but also in the Democratic Partys platform.
And beyond. Real change takes years to achieve. This movement has just begun.
What do you think?
He also has some great comments on the primary's 'endgame:'
This week's essay: The Endgame of 2016?s Anti-Establishment Politics
Will Bernie Sanderss supporters rally behind Hillary Clinton if she gets the nomination? Likewise, if Donald Trump is denied the Republican nomination, will his supporters back whoever gets the Republican nod?

(11,641 posts)1. Reich has great focus. K&R.
I just read his piece on "Should Bernie get out of the race?". "Baloney" he said.
It was all those comments at the bottom of the article that seemed to speak volumes.

(3,813 posts)3. A true '6-way' race would be fascinating
Hillary on the Dem ticket
Whoever the Repubs can shove onto their ticket instead of Trump
So Trump runs independent...
Then Sanders as an Independent for the left...
Then suddenly, Jill Stein (Green) and Gary Johnson's (Libertarian) candidacies are not simply dwarfed by two behemoth parties. Their alliances and campaigns would matter, even if they stood no chance of taking even fourth place against the above campaigns.
Just something to think about, and something that could conceivably result in a President Sanders.
