There are many reasons but we're seeing a tip of it in these primaries. Locations closed, hoops to jump through, ID, access to transportation to get to the random polling places, if you're working 3 jobs you don't have time to stand in line ... the list goes on and on. That's just mechanical. The other part is the "it doesn't matter anyway" - a big portion of this country believes that for them nothing is going to change. They think that they have a better chance of changing their station in life by buying lottery tickets with their last few bucks than voting for a candidate. They don't fixate on the intricacies of policy, they just do what they have to in order to get by on a daily basis. I'm not talking about college kids here who are temporarily poor, or maybe someone who is between jobs. I'm talking about the inner city, the rural poor, the millions of small towns - the folks who are in that cycle and have little hope of getting out. And the really sad part is that as income inequality grows they have little chance of their lives changing no matter what they do.

He stated a fact and cited studies that show 75-80% of poor people don't vote.

Todd asked him why he did not win more states and then the panel says that he was making excuses. Bernie did not bring this up and was not whining about it or excusing it.

Bernie was critiquing out election process.

Jose Belart-Diaz supported what Bernie said. The rest of the panel was condescending. Just your typical MTP show.
