Regarding NY: Any thoughts on non-registered people showing up to vote anyway?

Good idea or bad idea? Can anything be gained by doing so? I know they will be turned away, but if Bernie supporters who were disenfranchised by the rules of the closed primary show up and overwhelm the polling places, will the net effect for Bernie be a positive or negative one?

Point one it would prevent people from voting. Bernie wins when more people vote. LiberalArkie Apr 2016 #2

Since less people will be able to vote because non-registered people are in the lines and taking up the time. Hillary would win.

end up making it harder for the registered voters, who might just give up and leave, yeah it's a hypothetical situation but wouldn't be good. It's already known to be a problem, hence the reason some are trying to change the law. Long story short I think it hurts him.

It would accomplish nothing but jamming up the polls and demonstrating ignorance of the requirements to properly register on time. It should be easier to register to vote, and I would prefer that all primaries be open to voters registered as independents in addition to those registered as Democrats, but election day at a polling place is not the place to try to make those points. And it would bring bad publicity to Bernie, who talks about measures to increase voter turnout in virtually every speech and would take action against voter suppression tactics as President.
