WA Delegates and alternates..you should be getting emails about next step

They will be from someone you have never heard of. But will have your precinct number in the address

Dear Delegate or Alternate,

Your next step in the Presidential delegate selection process is to
attend the *** Legislative District Caucus on Sunday, April 17
at

Registration will open at 12:00 noon.

The Call to Order to start the Caucus will be at 1 PM.

There will be a voluntary registration fee of $10 for all delegates
and alternates to the District Caucus. Payment of this fee shall NOT
be a condition of participation or election.

Delegates and Alternates and registered voters in the ** Legislative
District who declare themselves to be Democrats may participate in the
caucus until the adoption of the first Credentials Report. After
that, only seated delegates and alternates seated for absent or
disqualified delegates shall have voice and vote.

Directions to place where the caucus will be held.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect delegates and alternates by
Presidential preference or uncommitted to the 8th and 9th
Congressional District Caucuses on Saturday, May 21, 2016 and the
State Democratic Convention in Tacoma on the weekend of June 17­ to
19, 2016. We will elect 26 delegates and 13 alternates from the 9th
Congressional District and 7 delegates and 3 alternates from the 8th
Congressional District. The elected delegates will be half male, half
female, and allocated amongst the Presidential candidate or
Uncommitted preferences that reach the 15% threshold of support at the
LD caucus.

The delegate selection process is set forth in the Proposed Rules of
the Caucus that are part of this mailing. Please read the Proposed
Rules for a full understanding of the process; these are availale here:

Anyone wishing to run for delegate to the Congressional District
Caucus and the State Democratic Convention may file a declaration of
candidacy in advance at any time prior to Friday April 15, 5 pm, by
any of the methods listed below:


1. via webform on our website **dems.org
which will be available starting tomorrow, April 11th,
2. via email to runfordelegate@**dems.org,
3. via US mail to .

Declarations must include Presidential preference, and if one is not
already a delegate or alternate to the caucus, name as registered to
vote, and voter registration address, which must be within the **
Legislative District.

The other way to self-nominate will be the day of the caucus at the
nominations table WHICH WILL REMAIN OPEN ONLY UNTIL 1:15pm, this
being the final deadline for declaring candidacy.

Declarations MAY also include a statement of up to 200 words and/or a
photograph. All such materials received within the advance filing
period will be posted on the **dems.org website by 12 noon, Saturday,
April 16th to aid in your decision as to who you will be electing.
They will also be printed and posted on the candidate wall at the
caucus site, on which everyone will gets one 8 1/2" x 11" space.

We are here for an important purpose, and we also want to make the day
as pleasant as possible. Here are some pointers to improve your
experience of the caucus day:

1. We expect a very large turnout of between 700 to 1,000 people so
we ask that you arrive as soon after 12:00 noon as you can in order to
have time to register.

2. Due to the fire code, we will be sitting in the bleachers in the
gym so please dress comfortably for climbing up and
down the bleachers. There will be a small number of chairs on the gym
floor for access for people with disabilities. Please respect this
arrangement.

3. The school policy is that no food or beverages, except for bottled
water, will be allowed in the gym. The sergeants-­at­-arms will
enforce this policy.

4. Please read the Rules for the LD Caucus that are part of this
mailing and bring them with you to the Caucus.
