On Sunday on Sanders tomorrow on Radio Free Kansas, we are going to spend the hour with campaign talk. My friend, Mike Caddell, who produces the show, is running for the Kansas State Legislature, 47th District will be my guest to be interviewed about his campaign, and I will turn over my chair to another friend, Steve Robinson, who will interview me about my plans to capture the Kansas Second Congressional District. I hope you folks will phone in with your comments and questions, particularly when I discuss my platform.
GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS: No meaningful legislation can be passed for the people as long as members of Congress’ votes can be bought.
RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE: No one who works a 40 hour week should live in poverty.
FREE COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OR TECHNICAL TRAINING FOR ALL: If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
REBUILD OUR INFRASTRUCTURE: Repair our roads, bridges, water, rail and electrical systems creating millions of jobs.
INVEST IN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY: Demand a crash program to promote to free us from dependence on fossil fuels.
BAIL OUT OUR COLLEGE KIDS: We bailed out Wall Street; we can bail out our kids!
REFORM OUR TAX CODE: Close all tax loopholes.
LEGALIZE MARIJUANA: Medicinal marijuana should be a right for all adults.
REINSTATE THE FAIRNESS IN BROADCASTING ACT: No one should lie to the American Public with impunity. Apply heavy penalties.
EXPAND SOCIAL SECURITY: Raise withholding limits and expand benefits.
ENACT SINGLE-PAYER HEALTH CARE: No one should go bankrupt because of illness.
