Can you imagine Bernie having that done? Not in a million years. In fact what flashed through my mind was the video of Bernie's rescuing Andrea Mitchell.

13. It is illegal to campaign on the subway trains in NYC if you impede others
Sun Apr 10, 2016, 08:32 AM

as it should be.

Some general rules for soliciting contributions on the subway include (but are not limited to) the following:

Non-commercial activities, such as public speaking, campaigning, and distributing written non-commercial materials are permitted on the transit system, but only if such activities are conducted in accordance with the following rules AND if they do not impede transit activities, including access to the trains and stations and the free movement of passengers. All activities which violate these rules OR which impede transit activities are forbidden.

if there's one thing you don't do is screw up transit: people who have to work for a living have little patience for the rich and powerful blocking off the roads so they can talk to the slightly more rich and slightly less powerful

this turns everyone's usual 10-mph grind has gone to 5 mph and if they miss any connections they'll have to pay an extra $26 and add an extra hour or two to the day: it's like LA's anti-subway protesters only going to protests if they can get there on the subway, eventually there'll be a backlash

but she's "one of the people," sure
