Bernie Sanders

WASHINGTON
Unimaginable at the start of the campaign, Bernie Sanders might be a stronger general election candidate for the Democrats than Hillary Clinton.
He leads Donald Trump nationally by 20 points right now in a hypothetical general election matchup, more than double her 9-point lead, according to the latest McClatchy-Marist poll.
He leads Sen. Ted Cruz by 12, while she is locked in a tie with the Texan.
Sanders also leads or competes better in places where Democratic presidential candidates often seem anonymous. He leads Trump in Kansas and Utah, for example, which havent given their electoral votes to a Democrat since 1964. Sanders outperforms Clinton over Trump in the swing states of Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin, as well.

(1,365 posts)Bernie is the only truly Democratic candidate left. If Hillary is nominated, we get Republican light at best.

(1,784 posts)for the most part. The article does refer to this time as a honeymoon period and states that Bernie hasn't been vetted yet, in their opinion.(Gotta throw some doubt into the mix ) But so far, anything they've thrown at him has blown up in their faces. The Sanders campaign has a good rapid response team. And the Clintons are running a 20th century campaign.

(41,600 posts)will NOT be voting for her in the GE, but they WILL vote for Bernie...that's 43% of the voters. Ditto for millennials - a larger voting block than baby boomers. Millennials don't care two hoots about "party" affiliation and will NEVER vote for WALL ST. CLINTON.
Anyone in camp weathervane remember OCCUPY WALL ST. where Clinton types PEPPER SPRAYED the millennials? Where they were clubbed and corralled and treated like animals? How about when cops entered their camp in the middle of the night and destroyed it?
Do you honestly believe those same people are going to turn around and vote for someone who represents the very things they were protesting? THINK AGAIN.
Clinton cannot and will not win the GE. BERNIE CAN AND WILL!
