There are enough Bernie supporters who absolutely will not vote for Hillary, that she absolutely cannot win a General Election.
Food for thought.

(17,796 posts)it's just that she's willing to make that a trade-off in exchange for personal power.

(41,600 posts)I personally think their 29% support will collapse after the primary IF Bernie isn't the nominee.
Not only will they lose the GE, it will be decades before they put another so-called "Democrat" in the WH. Their party will be relegated to the dustbins of history. If they don't open their eyes and see what's happening around the country...they're going to regret it.
If they bother to look, the warning signs are there.
Just look at the latest polls in PA. and NY!

(16,179 posts)Candidates that are so bad that yes, SOME Republicans will actually vote for Clinton. There are two in my workplace.
However, if progressive turnout is depressed by a nominee that is perceived to be too much of a hawk or too corporate, or too mocking toward young idealistic voters, then Dems will lose in congressional races. Even if my GOP colleagues prefer Hillary to Cruz or Trump, they aren't going to vote for the D's in congress.
