Why didn't Hillary run in Arkansas?

It kind of bugs me that she was so antsy to ditch her Arkansas background and run in NY. That strikes me as sort of a demeaning of the good people of Arkansas who had put Bill where he was so he could run for the White House.

There were no seats up to run for. It's a red state so she would have a snowballs chance in hell of winning even if seats were available.

But in 2000, she would have had an easy chance to win a Senate seat if one had been available. For example, Blanche Lincoln had just won her Senate seat 2 years earlier. So that seat was not open. The other Senate seat was held by a Republican, Tim Hutchinson, and that was up for election in 2002. But the state Democratic Party had apparently been grooming Mark Pryor to take back the seat that had been held by his father, David Pryor. So that was off-limits as well.

The same was true of her birth state, Illinois. Moynihan was retiring from New York.

Since she's so into "globalism" I guess it doesn't matter, as long as she can pontificate down to the masses from somewhere important sounding.

My guess is that she wouldn't be able to successfully run as a Democrat after she spent years in the board of Walmart there breaking up unions and bankrupting main street small businesses.

Why wouldn't Arkansans like their #1 global company?

They have to sing a special cheer when they work there.

Just a few problems in never promoting women?

Excluding a "majority group". And black people?

And mooching off the government by paying their employees less than starvation wages.

She knew she'd be a shoe-in.

Bobby Kennedy did the same thing way back when, for much the same reason.
