Related: About this forumNYC Open Primary City Hall "town hall" on Thursday (reddit repost)
I had just received a phone call from the petition organizers of Open Primaries regarding the fight for an open primary election in New York. http://www.openprimaries.org/states_new_york
The caller told me that there was going to be some kind of town hall or dialogue in NYC's city hall to discuss an open primary. I unfortunately am out of town so I told her I could not go, but did anyone else hear about this? I wanted to spread word if it were the case.
EDIT:
The town hall is Thursday, April 14 at 12PM (noon o'clock)
at the New York City Hall located at
City Hall Park, New York, NY 10007

The Presidential Primary of 2016 is exposing glaring shortcomings in our election system. Untold numbers of voters were disenfranchised in Arizona. NY's primary will be much worse.
NYs election rules are so undemocratic that 3.2 million people (1 in 4 registered NY voters), many of whom are Millennials and minority voters, will be forbidden from participating.
It is time for the people to stand up and say enough is enough. We are demanding that the parties open up New Yorks undemocratic Presidential Primary election, which prohibits 3.2 million people from casting a vote on Tuesday.

New York! We need to treat the hearing on the closed primary like a Bernie Rally! Pack the place inside and out with 20,000 people to show our support for an open primary! - 4/14 at noon NYC City Hall New York, New York 10007
We need to have this place jam packed with supporters so they cannot ignore the people. Having voter registration end in October of last year is ridiculous.
