(17,469 posts)You couldn't pay me to do Skinner's job right now. From what I can see, the Admins are trying to keep a lid on the site and emotions are running high on both sides. Until recently, I could go weeks without being invited to a jury, but now I get multiple calls a day. I am a Sanders supporter and such is my bias, but even so, I have seen bad behaviour on both sides.

(14,459 posts)I've seen people with 11 posts on their transparency and still going. Meanwhile, others were not invited back.
The only comfort is that like citizens united, it's not having as much effect as we all feared it would. The disruptors are mostly getting ignores and the primary continues.

(17,469 posts)Folks, we need to control our tempers and not be goaded. And yes, I know that sometimes we suffer an unjust verdict, but I would say that I cancel about 3 posts for everyone I post.
We need everyone on deck. To paraphrase Patton:
"No dumb bastard ever one an argument for his candidate by getting banned. You win arguments for your candidate by getting the other dumb bastard banned for his."
merrily
(45,251 posts)Just like all the rest who had 5 hides and were invited back.
There must be something I'm not seeing?
Kelvin Mace
(17,469 posts)We invest a LOT of ourselves in this board, and probably should not. So, even when we are invited back, we may wind up taking a break or not coming back. Hopefully the former, not the latter.

(45,251 posts)targeted, as screen caps from hillarysupporters.com that were posted here showed us. She's always returned - as soon as she was able.
I thought all those on time out were supposed to have been invited back, but apparently they were not. Cali and hifiguy don't seem to have been invited back. Neither do people whose account has supposedly been under review for months.
merrily
(45,251 posts)Does anyone know?
Hifiguy isn't back either.
I don't get it.
Was the get out of jail free and stay out card only for Hillary supporters?
And then there are those whose account is under eternal review.

I don't understand either why cali and hifi and others aren't back like everyone else.

(10,622 posts)I don't understand why Cali is not back under the amnesty rule, when we have posters here that were "pardoned" some of which have over a dozen hides.
The highest I have personally seen was sixteen, but I have about a dozen of them on ignore and seldom check transparency pages as I am not obsessed with other posters. I only do that when someone posts something truly heinous and I jury them only to see them not get hidden.

The whole stuck in DU purgatory situation is really strange. What's up with that?

I don't get it. People who have their transparency pages showing are allowed to post (including Bernie supporters).
Either cali doesn't care to post here anymore, or she doesn't know about the amnesty.

(22,000 posts)The only REAL punishment is not serving on a jury. Then again maybe people with that many hides don't give a shit about serving on a jury. By the way this WAS a Clinton supporter.

(32,062 posts)but also spending time on Twitter. Honestly the Bernie campaign folks are mostly on Reddit and Twitter (especially the younger ones). My brain can't quite wrap itself around Reddit, but that's where the millennials are. And they are doing a fabulous job. This "longshot" campaign is starting to look quite possible thanks to all the digital work and Bernie's incredible energy level
