WTF? Senator Al Franken is a super delegate from Minnesota...

https://www.facebook.com/senatoralfranken/

Petitioning Senator Al Franken
Endorse Bernie Sanders for President

Senator Franken,

In 2014, you ran for Senate as a Minnesota progressive. In 2016, support the progressive movement by endorsing Bernie Sanders in his bid to become president. Your endorsement would bolster his candidacy by showing he has support from his colleagues in the Senate. Further, such a large endorsement (from you) would establish him as the progressive candidate in the race and as a serious candidate to be reckoned with.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

I hope he gets booted soon. So much for his stupid book Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them. I guess he hasn't read it yet.

Most of the comments are to the effect of, You have to be kidding; I'm so disappointed, why are you giving your superdelegate vote to Clinton when Sanders won Minnesota by a landslide? Very few comments are nasty or insulting and I hope it stays that way. But I don't think Franken or any of those politicians ever even look at their Facebook pages. They are probably maintained entirely by staffers (or interns) and are never seen by the Senator. I think the best way to get through to him is by writing a letter on paper and sending it via snail mail. Those are far more likely to be read. It may even be necessary to demonstrate (again, politely) at his Minnesota office.

with contributors from the oil and gas industry and now thinks "Fracking is Ok" He went from being a progressive to just another Republican lite..(Check his interview with Chris Mathews and his comment about Fracking.
Paul Wellstone would be totally disappointed.

So yes Al Franken a member of the Washington group of established Reoublicrats is a Hillary warrior now.

I was so pleased when he won his election (by a hair, after several recounts) because he seemed to be a for-real progressive like Paul Wellstone. And he has done some good things. But I guess if you're in congress long enough you get assimilated into the Establishment's Borg. Seems like that happened to Franken. Maybe all that sweet campaign money from the DNC was too much to resist.

Power corrupts...

He kept name dropping Wellstone and playing the progressive card in his first campaign. Now that he's in, he's just one of the rest of them.

If thats the system you want, eliminate the super delegates, (which I am in favor or doing).

But with the system we have now Al Frankin can vote how he wants.

Minnesota has 16 super delegates, so even if you think it should match the votes, at least some should vote for Bearnie (although I realize Bearnie is likely to only get 2 or 3 of the super delegates.

But the solution to me is eliminating super deligates. Lets work on that, and not worry about who they vote for.

But we still get to talk to people we elected and remind them that we elected them and we can unelect them. It seems to me to be a fair reminder.
