As the thread developed it was locked as being "meta". I'm bettin' the same "helper" can't lock this one. The OP suggests a federal felony and is an amnesty poster with 10 hides.

(8,976 posts)they could send no more money because they had "maxxed out"-IE:already given the maximum amount allowed by federal law. The they stated they collected from their neighbors to send more. This is important-not "urged" or "suggested" neighbors to contribute-collected money to send to the campaign. That is illegal.

(20,234 posts)I think they're getting their neighbors to send their own donations in.
But anyway: can we all agree to laugh at any suckers who are donating money to the megamillionaire clintons?

(8,976 posts)He SAID he got money FROM the neighbors that HE would send, RIGHT???
noamnety
(20,234 posts)You inferred that.

(8,976 posts)he said he took cash from his neighbors so I suppose having lied once about tax rates he could have intended to just steal the cash. Legally of course he would be better off...
noamnety
(20,234 posts)He said he "got donations" which you inferred means he physically took the money himself, and sent it in himself.
Other people might simply read it as he got them to donate.

(8,976 posts)"I'm getting" not "I talked them into" or "they are sending", but let's finish this-my last reply is this-the poster either lied or broke the law. You are trolling my thread and are worthless. Outside the constraints of this board I would suggest you do something unusual. But have a nice day, I recognize what both you and the op have in common.

(4,211 posts)If you believe a violation of the Federal campaign finance law has taken place, you may file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission. Send a letter to the Commission explaining why you (the complainant) believe the law may have been violated, describe the specific facts and circumstances and name the individuals or organizations responsible (the respondents). Your complaint should also indicate which allegations are based on personal knowledge rather than on outside sources (for example, newspaper articles). The letter must be sworn to, signed and notarized. Complaints of alleged violations receive case numbers and are called MURs, Matters Under Review. (For more information on how to file a complaint, contact the FEC.)
The Commission sends a copy of the complaint to the respondents, who have the opportunity to explain why the Commission should not pursue the complaint (for example, because no violation occurred or because there were mitigating factors). The agency considers the views of both sides and may conduct an investigation to gather facts. Until the MUR is resolved, the Commission must keep all phases of the proceedings confidential, as required by law. After it makes a decision, the agency notifies the complainant and the respondents. The decision and supporting evidence regarding the MUR are then made public.
