(10,622 posts)Were registered with the party affiliation as a Democrat your whole life, attempting to change it back from the tampering that listed you as otherwise won't take effect until next election.
That is the new rule.
As an example, if the last 4 elections one were Registered as a Democrat and think you still are because you never changed your party affiliation, yet you check and find out the computers say you are not registered under any party (even tho you know you are and have been for years). You can meet the Registration deadline tomorrow and fill in the Democrat box, but it will not make you an active (and primary able voter) until the NEXT election, I know because it happened to me and I thought I fixed their tampering, only to find they have new rules that I just explained, I can't vote for anybody this primary, as is the case with anybody that just now discovered the tampering. At least not in NYS.
I don't know about the other States mentioned.

(5,792 posts)so to hell with their rules.

(10,622 posts)So fuck them, I will not vote for the one I know is responsible now in the GE nor will I ever register Democrat again (hint if she makes it she will be at the top of the ticket).
I will write in my preference denied (because the hell with them all I want, I won't be on the primary rolls and will not be allowed to vote Sanders unless he wins the primary without the help of the tampered with voters)
I know my down ticket races well and will vote for the best person in each as usual, but the top of the ticket gets a penalty if it's not Sanders because they DID suppress my primary vote and that is the only way I can punish them for it, I will show up on primary day be denied and then re-register myself this time out of the party since they won't let it count.

(11,546 posts)if it won't let you vote in this upcoming election?
Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)of unlikely Clinton voters and changed party affiliations accordingly, but I suppose not in every case so as not to be so blatant as to get caught.
I can still vote in the General, but not in the primary

(11,546 posts)wow! They sure have learned a lot from Mr. Rove!
Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)It wasn't just long lines, there were many reports of long time Democrats purged as Democrats from the primary rolls. They even changed some Democrats to Republicans in the computer if you can believe the Gall of it!
Some people even tried showing hard copy voter registration ID bearing the D to the poll workers but were still told to pound sand.

(11,546 posts)things went swimmingly and to stop picking on the officials. Fuckers.
She knows it's the only way that she can win. And then they wonder why we dislike her so much and won't vote for her.

(10,622 posts)It was to an OP that quoted a Republican (without at first telling the source) in order to show how identical it was to a quote from one of the David Brock sites and words parroted by Clinton supporters.
It may help you blow off steam reading my reply, but after read the OP for context,

(14,691 posts)so they couldn't have me on a list to fuck up. The deadline to change party registration in NY State was October 9. Deadline to register for the first time is Friday March 25. I just checked and I'm a registered Democrat. This is beyond outrageous.
