Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumCNN just said 90% of Bernie voters don't regard Hillary as honest and trustworthy
Below the percentage of Bernie supporters at DU that would say that, but we're getting there.

(14,459 posts)I'd love to hear her say that she is for equal rights and justice for everyone. That we need to put people and the future ahead of greed and imperialism. That we are going to right the wrongs of the last 35 years.
But if she did that, how could I be sure she meant it?

(3,017 posts)instead of what they say they're going to do during a campaign. Bernie and Hillary both have 25 year records that can be examined.

(14,459 posts)We don't have any surprises lurking there- both are firmly for what they believe in. Bernie believes in the value of normal, ordinary people. Hillary believes the 1% are special and should be given special privileges.

(3,795 posts)The opposite is simply not true. Most Hillary supporters say they can/would vote for Bernie.
Hillary is NOT going to get some portion of Bernie supporters that is larger than the portion that would refuse to vote for Bernie.
Hillary is NOT going to get nearly as much of the Independent vote.
Hillary is NOT going to get nearly as much of the Youth vote.
We have crazy psychopaths running on the GOP side.
It's unbelievable. Bernie is CLEARLY the better choice at keeping the White House.

(3,017 posts)that would piss off any Democratic voter? We can make a laundry list for Hillary. And Bernie doesn't bring 25 years of baggage and hatred from many independents.

(6,409 posts)I don't think Clinton is honest or trustworthy, and that's from someone who will probably be voting for her in November. Most of our elected representatives are not honest or trustworthy because they take money from people whose interests are best served by selling us out. This is pretty much standard practice now, so Clinton is not remarkable in her dishonesty. She's just doing what it takes to win.
