The Bernie Bro thing...

I know, I know... why resurrect that so we have to go through it again.

Hear me out.

Most of the media is dominated by men, across the board. Naturally, the loudest pro Bernie media voices are also male and since we Bernie supporters skew young - you get bros painted as representative of the movement. I get that. But that's why it's so important to have equal access and representation. If men get most of the spotlight, they will get most of the push back.

There are others, poc and women, out there but they don't have the same platform as, say, TYT. Yes, Cenk isn't white (I don't think), but most of the people on TYT are white men. I'm talking about optics. When video and clips are shared widely or go viral, and they are mostly of young white men talking, it paints a picture. A very inaccurate one.

So, please, elevate the pro Bernie women and poc voices for more exposure - as much as possible. Benjamin Dixon Show, The Sane Progressive, Tim Black and others. There's a reason the Joan Walshes of the world think it's all bros doing all the talking. I am not good on camera - trust me - or I'd add my own voice.

Side note - this is a prime example of how sexism hurts men.

You don't deal with smears by self censoring as if they're true. Good ideas, posts, videos from anybody should be put forward.

I encourage the BernieBros and other such garbage narratives. It reminds people of who the Clintons are because people have been watching it for 25 years, going back to the old Carville classic "if you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park you never know what you will find."

I think this stuff drives Hillary's negatives up with the public (corporate media aside, and nobody trusts them anyway) more than it does Bernie's.

How does it paint an inaccurate picture when most of Bernie Sanders fans are young and White? If I just happened to turn the TV on and see one of his rallies and not know it was a Bernie rally it could easily be confused for a GOP rally. I see your point but the optics are not inaccurate. The optics are what they are.

Online here and in real life. The pushback is pretty tough.

Not saying don't try - its a good strategy - just that it seems as though elevating pro-Sanders' POC voices gets a reaction by some
