Personally, I think the Bernie supporters should be on the LEFT, but I'll take those numbers any day.

Big "Bernie, Bernie!" chant went through the crowd at #NECaucus #District9!
This is from behind the Bernie side. The Hillary side is in the distance:

(11,366 posts)Or maybe it was just too big to hold it inside where ever it was supposed to be, so they had to move outside. Looks sunny, but cold.
On Edit: The district is in Omaha.

Bernie numbers = Bernie numbers / 2
Clinton numbers = Bernie numbers + Clinton numbers

(11,366 posts)District 9 ran out of preference cards. Waiting for copies to be made. A good problem to have! #NEcaucus
District 9 has so many people we had to go out to the schoolyard. Naturally, Bernie supporters have the playground.

(17,202 posts)That first tweet. I've read a lot of horror stories this season about districts running out of ballots, and the ensuing confusion.
At the same time, I've read a lot of stories about how Dem turnout is light.
You can perhaps see where I'm going with this: how hard is it to print up enough ballots? Why so many instances where there haven't been enough, especially when unexpected volume is not to blame? Peter Principle in action, I guess, but if so, the bar must be terribly low.

(628 posts)They have a thread with people at the NE caucuses posting caucus results. Bernie is ahead so far. They are also saying they are being flooded with absentee ballots in favor of Clinton.

xloadiex
(628 posts)It seems like they are being counted at each caucus location. Here's an example
These are LD 13 results
In Room:
237 Clinton 281 Sanders
Absentee 275 Clinton 39 Sanders
Overall 512 C 310 S

(628 posts)I just read you do have to show ID to caucus. I just read there are NO absentee ballots allowed in the Kansas caucus.

(9,083 posts)You count the ones going to Hillary x2, and throw Sanders' in the trash.

(9,083 posts)The idea with a caucus is that your "carcass" has to show up. Why the hell would they allow absentee ballots? Either someone reporting is full of shit, or the DNC has gone full on bonkers.
On edit, guess that's the only way they can assure votes for The Queen: http://www.omaha.com/news/politics/democrats-can-vote-in-nebraska-caucuses-via-absentee-ballot/article_f593d4f5-d0ac-5798-846e-af4b7c5ac0eb.html
