A Bernie canvasser came to our door in Massachusetts today...

We told him that we were both all in for Bernie and the canvasser said "So are most of your neighbors!" I love my neighborhood (and it's a mix of blue collar, white collar, young, old, with and without kids.)

Haven't been able to get as involved (beyond donating) as I'd like at this point due to other commitments but SO appreciate you and all the other canvassers.

I don't base this on any inside info, just my sense of how she does things coupled with the fact that she is ideologically close to Bernie but may not want to go "against" the female candidate at this point.

Not so terribly different from Maine, where I live now, but a bit warmer, a bit more urban, a bit... okay, a lot more urban, a lot more to do.

Good to hear from Bernie supporters out there.

I love living in MA. For me it was a move from warmer winters (VA) to colder, but I've learned about roof-raking, dressing in layers, and changing hands frequently so they don't freeze while you pump gas (those things that hold the nozzle open for you are against the law here.)

The oddity of a Repub governor aside, I have found most people are socially liberal. Another nice change from conservative Virginia.

A warm welcome in advance!

You know, I really can't even imagine a Governor, even a republican, being worse than Paul LePage.

Yeah, the cold weather can take some getting used to for sure. On the other hand - I lived in California some years back, for about half a year. I melted. It was 100+ degrees, with 90something& humidity for weeks. Just thinking about that makes me cringe. There were a lot of things - and a lot of people in California that I loved, but it was good to get back to New England, where the weather (most of the time... not so much this year!) makes more sense to me.

Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to working for progressive change in MA - and to meeting the people.

Bill Clinton defeats Bernie Sanders O_O wait do they know who they are nominating. thats actually condescending towards women..., that electing Hillary means Bill rules the white house. uh no thats not how it works. yeah they get the win although clearly not a route but they got their NH.

Right now though at least on DU it's so toxic because they ban fellow members they don't agree with theres no way I'd be giving them any honest abe's

But I've been here almost straight through since 2001 (under a different name at first, and then a small break) so I am not ready to throw in the towel just yet, but some days I realize DU really adds to my despair about the state of our country.

I also informed them of my wife and my feelings and they also said that the majority of the doors they knocked on were pro-Bernie.

Good peeps!

The only lawn signs I see are Bernie signs. Not a single Clinton and (thankfully) not a single Trump.

I really hope I never see a Trump yard sign or, even worse, a Trump canvasser.
