Hmm. She couldn't get healthcare passed, but she DID get a highway named after Tim Russert!

A friend and I were talking about Chris Matthews attacking Sanders with "You'll need sixty votes! How are you going to get SIXTY VOTES??!"

My friend and I discussed how Bernie could have answered (he seemed a little caught off guard, before giving an answer that he was going to engage the American people). A few thoughts: Yeah, if you include pro-corporate giveaways and weapons pork, you can get stuff passed.

Bernie's been in congress a lot longer and so has more experience crafting amendments that get passed, at least.

And I thought about Hillary's efforts to get a healthcare plan passed in the 1990s when Bill was president. That failed. What did get passed? Well, she got a highway named after Tim Russert.

Ah, the love affair with corporate media. it's not unrequited.
