Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumCurtis Dixon Supports Bernie Sanders
Curtis Dixon works in the collard fields in Clarendon County South Carolina. He has four children and he supports them with his field work, boxing greens at a rate of $1.50 a box. Dixon says that though South Carolina's minimum wage is one of the lowest in the nation at $7.75/hour, he sometimes doesn't even make that hourly rate though he's working from 7am to 7pm in the fields.
Dixon wants Bernie Sanders to win. He's telling all of his friends and family to get out to vote on February 27, and vote for Bernie Sanders, who supports a $15 an hour minimum wage.

(1,342 posts)4. Well said Mr. Dixon!
It is not possible to raise a family on $7.75.
TIME TO PANIC
(1,894 posts)5. $7.75 an hour is wage slavery.
$15 is marginal, but at least you could afford the essentials.

This is a powerful message. I wish many people would have been able to see this...
