The patent lie that Sanders shouted "speak English" into a microphone during the Nevada caucus, the patent lie Capehart spread that Bernie was not in the sit-in photo are not innocent mistakes nor are they the result of simple laziness on the part of the so-called reporters.
The Big Lie
These are examples of what Hitler considered to be his most effective propaganda tactic which he termed The Big Lie where a known falsehood is stated and repeated and treated as if it is self-evidently true in hopes of swaying public opinion in a direction that takes the big lie for granted rather than critically questioning it or ignoring it.
In Mein Kampf, Hitler states,
....the broad masses more readily fall victim to the big lie than the small lie...It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. ....For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.
So if you find yourself scratching your head baffled why anyone would state a patent falsehood about Bernie, don't fall into the trap of arguing that the reporter is either clueless or lazy, name it for what it is - a devious underhanded tactic designed to manipulate public opinion.
It is essential that Bernie supporters spread the word about this tactic so people get hip to what is actually happening.

All propaganda must be presented in a popular form and must fix its intellectual level so as not to be above the heads of the least intellectual of those to whom it is directed. Thus its purely intellectual level will have to be that of the lowest mental common denominator among the public it is desired to reach.
