This just dawned on me

The Hillary supporters I know personally are lousy tippers and I end up tipping more because of them .

Am I crazy or is this true for others because tipping shows alot about people's concept of equality .

But that does not answer the question of you being crazy, or not.

they are all over 70, wealthy third way democrats who live in the Washington DC area. Do they tip well? Yeah, they're ok tippers. But they don't understand at all why none of their kids or grandkids have bought homes or can live at the same lifestyle or level as themselves. Instead of seeing the increased economic costs that younger generations grapple with like working longer hours, student debts, childcare costs, housing costs, healthcare costs, etc (all the necessities) they think their offspring are possibly just screw ups that are unable to achieve the same as themselves. Despite their kids having gone to college and graduate school and having good jobs (that somehow don't afford them the same benefits or pay to get ahead). Part of it may be that the DC area never really feels the full impact of economic downturns. That's why my grandparents moved there during the depression. There were government jobs there when there were no jobs elsewhere. The world has changed a lot during their lifetimes and they don't understand why younger generations want change. They do see an opportunity to elect an intelligent woman as president and worry they might not get another chance in their lifetime if we don't do it now.

Reason being that HRH supporters tend to be fairly well-off suburban baby boomers who tend to eat out at common sit-down places regularly.

As in the me, me, me, me, me thing?

What's mine is mine and you sub minimum wage, part time food servers, who should get out and get a real job...don't deserve my tip money?

certainly know how to tip. Although it pisses me off that we need to because it would be nice if the minimum wage were at least $15/hr for everyone, tips or not.

It ought to be scrapped. I can't stand it that earners must pay taxes on a gift. It's warped to make servers pay income tax on that money. Yet, it is.

Servers and bartenders need a living wage. I don't get the under the table logic of tipping at all.

I hate our bail system, too. It's highway robbery. What an industry?

Okay, sorry to go on a rant. Good for tipping extra. Servers get taxed like they made 15% of your bill so it actually costs them if they get stiffed.

Makes me all mad.
