Do me a favor~Please listen to this song & tell me if this is not the perfect Bernie campaign song?
First a little background.... Joshua Davis is a local musician from upper Michigan. He was on The Voice a couple of seasons ago. I fell in love with his story & with his music. He wrote this song during the financial downturn in Michigan, he is an activist, marches with workers losing jobs, etc. The ironic part is jeb! used this song at his campaign events when he first announced & Davis sent an cease & desist order to jeb!s campaign to get them to stop using it.
I sent this song to info@berniesanders.com months ago. They said they really liked it. Never heard from them again.
I am in no way affiliated with this artist. I am just a huge fan and believe this song was written for Bernie.

Workingman's Hymn
Some people are hungry for the green-back bill.
Some folks hunger for the top of the hill.
Some people just trying to get a decent meal;
I know that we can turn it around.
Some folks sleeping in a fine feather bed.
Some folks are dreaming of the old homestead.
Some just need a place to lay their head;
I know that we can turn it around.
chorus:
I know that we can turn it around
There's one thing that I've found
If there's a voice in the dim singing a workingman's hymn
I know that we can turn it around.
River bottom up to home on high
End of the line or the endless sky
Jet-setting or just getting by
I know that we can turn it around.
From the 9th Ward up to Petticoat Lane
One man's joy has been another man's pain
but the sun keeps shining, through the pouring rain;
I know that we can turn it around.
