(454 posts)Allot can be said for the fact that a lot of these old guard of the Feminist movement have a lot of fairly well connected positions in society as well as decent net-worth's. I am not questioning their commitments to the cause, but I am just noticing what seems more like a power clique helping their friend out more than some genuine heart felt belief. Maybe Steinem and Albright believe every word their said, maybe they are just looking for ways to help their friend (Which is admirable, I mean I respect loyalty to friends pretty highly).
Still, lets see this for what it is. I don't think Steinem or Albright are necessarily being malicious, I think genuinely they just want to help their friend.

I don't see how else Steinem could have said that ugly comment she did. I'm glad she said it though, frankly, because I think she really solidified the young woman's support of Bernie by accusing them of doing it for silly reasons.
