Let's go back in the time machine & remember how the Clinton's treated Senator Obama.

Well - at least we know the Clinton's recycle

Only days before he will nominate Barack Obama for re-election, a new report claims that in 2008, former President Bill Clinton said of him: “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”

Clinton allegedly made the racially insensitive remark to Sen. Ted Kennedy as he tried to convince the liberal lion to endorse his wife, Hillary, Obama’s rival for the Democratic nomination, according to The New Yorker.

“A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee,” Clinton is quoted as saying in “Game Change,” by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.
(Bill)

“Obama doesn’t know how to be president,” Clinton told friends and political advisers last year, the article added. “He doesn’t know how the world works.”

WASHINGTON — Barack Obama’s offer to meet without precondition with leaders of renegade nations such as Cuba, North Korea and Iran touched off a war of words, with rival Hillary Rodham Clinton calling him naive and Obama linking her to President Bush’s diplomacy.

“Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy was hopeful to do—the President before had not even tried—but it took a President to get it done.”

Clinton was simply expressing her belief that the Presidency is more about pushing difficult legislation through a fractious Congress than it is about transforming society

This could have something to do with why I just viscerally dislike Hillary. It definitely adds to it.

I was in awe of her. So proud of her, thought I'd have no problem supporting her.

And little by little that went away. I heard her triangulating on some cable news show & bam! I was immediately turned off, then found out she supports monsanto, .... and it's been down hill ever since then.

I was remembering Bill said something in NC that was very racist, so I looked it up & that's what prompted me to put this together.

It's as if those feelings from 2008 are still inside of me.

I truly am voting my conscience this time.
Never again will I give my vote to a dishonest person.

because it was the first political season I actually paid attention and voted, in 2 decades. I was appalled at her behavior in '08 and that's why I cannot and will not support her this cycle either. I didn't follow politics after my vote for Jimmy Carter failed to elect him and didn't vote again until '04. But '08, I knew who I wanted to vote for and it was Obama. Since then, I had wished Sanders would run for President so you can only imagine who I support this time. #FeelTheBern!

“You will not find that I changed a view or a vote because of donations I received.” Would you be ok with any Republican elected politician saying those words? We here at DU have long known that the worst thing about Republican politicians is that they are bought and paid for. How often do DUers question how it is that the self described conservative voter time and again votes against her/his own self interests! With these words, Hillary Clinton tells us that this sort of thing is just fine for our democratic leaders too....well so long as there is no proof that such payments bring about influence!

Are the citizens in charge of our government or is Big $$ in charge of our government? That's what this election is about.
