Something very big happened in Iowa.

Despite the NY Times not endorsing Bernie Sanders, nearly 90% of voters under the age of just under 30 years of age voted for a Socialist. A 65 year taboo has been broken.

Richard Wolff has some interesting stories of the benefits Europeans get from Socialist programs. Nice world compared to our raw, ragged way of surviving. He also discusses just how much they love what they have. Socialism hasn't been the doom and gloom our government would have us believe.

He reads a letter to FDR from Keynes. Pretty interesting. What he predicted, we are seeing right now with Bernie.

I have omitted the term Democratic, just as Wolff has, for brevity.

As usual, there's a lot in this video, and I'm posting it in the Bernie group because we seem to be the only ones who care about this, and this is the first Wolff has really mentioned Bernie Sanders to this degree.

I suspect that for many millennials, the NYT is as much a part of the establishment as Fox News.

taking the wind out of Republican sails and undoing decades of work they've put into demonizing the left end of the political spectrum. Not to mention pushing ideas Americans like back into the political discourse, and moving the Overton window left.

Of course, the people who DON'T like Bernie are still completely missing the point that we want him to START arguing for what he wants from the farthest left so that we can achieve less, but more than if he'd started arguing from the middle. They still keep harping on and on about how there's no way he'll get what he's asking for. Well, duh. But what he WILL get is farther left than what he would get if he started arguing from the center. Virtually nobody on the left expects single payer inside of 4 years, or even 8. But we do expect to keep shifiting leftward, to maybe expand medicare or get a public option if we can retake Congress. But we won't get even that if we START at 'Woah, the ACA is pretty much good as it is!'

Joe Kennedy wrote that he would give up half of his millions, if the other half were to be protected by law and order. In other words, he knew that capitalism had to be bridled, or risk revolution or social disruption.

Wolff believes that if Bernie Sanders can avoid social turbulence, they will allow him to be president.

Wolff says that the only way Bernie will become president is if he can guarantee to the 1% that he will do for them what FDR did for them.

I usually post this in Multimedia, but sinks like a stone since most don't seem to care about how the economy really works.

I was one who didn't care. But I'm realizing I've had economics in my blood all of my life. I just see it. Now I've got confirmation through these wonderful talks. I like how they revolve around caring about people. At least with Wolff.
