In 24 hours after Iowa caucuses, Sanders donors pony up $3 million, aides say

An aide to the Democratic presidential hopeful said Tuesday that the campaign had raised $3 million since Monday night’s Iowa caucuses, in which Sanders finished right behind Hillary Clinton, according to Iowa Democratic Party figures.

“It’s been our best day ever,” Sanders communications director Michael Briggs said of the fundraising haul.

He also benefited from new donors in the hour afters his speech on Monday night. Four in 10 who gave during that stretch had not contributed previously to the campaign, Briggs said.

None of my contributions have been in $65 increments, so I'm assuming that number has some other significance to the campaign. But I never donate based on emails anyway, I tend to go on timing or the thermometer standing on ActBlue.

Plus the appeals to "chip in" $65 always annoy me. Sure, I have $65 right here that I didn't know what to do with! It was just getting in the way! Damn money. Sheesh.

an election. He tied with Ms. Inevitable. Now they know "Democratic Socialism" isn't as frightening as the corrupt corporate owned MSM has made it out to be the last 9 months. Just wait until after he wins big in NH and then Nevada.

7. And the Facebook hits have exploded for Bernie.

I tend to track these numbers occasionally myself as a personal interest ... Since Monday morning of the Iowa Caucus (48 hours ago), Bernie has gathered about 70,000 more "Likes" than Hillary has.

Roughly it went like this: On Monday, Bernie was outpacing Hillary on Facebook at about 5 to 1. On Tuesday it has settled down to about 2 to 1 and that is the rate being maintained at the current time.
