Bernie Sanders: About 600 came out to celebrate our campaign kickoff in Ames, Iowa!

I'll have to watch another channel's 10pm broadcast to see if it's mentioned.

Interesting though, on the 10:30 AM newscast (which was on during the rally) they said "over 3,000" people showed up and they showed the overflow that was standing outside the American Indian Center.

On the 5:30 broadcast they said "about 3,000" people showed up. They showed the packed auditorium but no shots of the people who stood outside.

Another source said that 3,700 people had RSVPed to the event and even more showed up.
