The first drafts of some proposed images *** Edited to add Third Way ***

Last edited Wed Mar 11, 2015, 04:57 PM - Edit history (1)

In the same way I flattered the "ready for Hillary" people with a counter inspired by their work I felt inspired to honor tyhe third way as well

This is their brand:

I made this one for something I'm working on

This is a larger one, just a first draft, I want to go back and improve on it, the broken compass needle shot so far right it broke the lens, My shattered glass needs some work.

Any one can use any of these any way they want.

They say imitation is a form of flattery, in this case it is not. I decided to use the most familiar images associated with the readyforhillary group as templates, not because of love, but rather to make sure of an easy association between the words Someone Else and Hillary (to clarify we are all about her specifically not winning the primary).

So here they are pre final edits for critique (if anyone else has something please post it here, the more the merrier)

This common image:

Gave birth to image#1:

This:

To image#2:

And finally this:

To image#3

In addition to finalizing these, I have a few more elaborate images I am working on that may be useful to us, expect more within the week.

require bulk purchases to order them.

That question should be for Manny as the site is his baby.

On the other hand, I think CafePress will do one for you from an upload, If you really want to - let me know what size, resolution and file type they need from you to do it in a PM. IMO it would be polite to ask Manny first, especially if you pick a design that sports his domain name. Don't ask third Way Manny tho, I am pretty sure he was last seen muttering obscenities, smashing windows and vowing revenge against Manny after the news of the new website found him.

1)Use a good program to design your bumper sticker.
Pay attention to the dimensions.

2)Print it out on the thickest parer your printer will handle.

3)Go to a good craft store and buy that flexible magnetic stuff that comes in a roll.

4) Cut the magnetic stuff the same size as your sticker.

5)Laminate the face, or use a layer of transparent tape.

6)Stick on car.

A great advantage of these are that you can quickly remove them if you have to park in an area where you don't want your windows broken or your car keyed.

The above were all home-made on my inkjet.
They worked well.

Never tried the do it myself approach, largely because the only home printer I can afford is an inkjet which uses ink that does not suffer water very well.

If Manny decides to offer bumper stickers, he need only host the higher resolution files required for such a thing (along with instructions on how to accomplish the printing via that method).

Very good idea bvar.

"Manny as the site is his baby"

It was my understanding he wanted 100 RECS to proceed.

If this is set-up like a co-op team with all being equal and all voices respected and heard, count me in

If this is King Manny and his merry band of followers, count me out.

Your opinion is important as well as a response from Manny.

To the guy whose idea it was, I have/had no intention of crowning him a king.

That being said, I have hosted sites before and he will have, like it or not, the responsibility of having his actual name attached to the domain, and if law suits are filed, you can bet his name will be on the paper.

From what I know of Manny he will seek consensus on such decisions, is it wrong of me to allow him the opportunity to do so while refraining from making decisions like this on my own as if I were some kind of king?

every idea coming into this website will be Manny's? Then each originator of an idea must be payed the same due respect, I presume.

When you have a true CO-OP team no one is looking for or demanding respect, mutual respect is automatically woven into the equality of all.

Can a .org be set-up as a non-profit corp.? Don't know that's why I'm asking.

I just think we should set-up the terms of agreement before the website is launched so everyone has a clear understanding of the operation.

I have worked with so many loosely grouped bunches of people on shared goals that I have learned that this stuff is better done organically, that is naturally.

It's OK, I have also learned that a common goal is something that does not need rigidity to become manifest , people, if left to be free in such an endeavor tend to find their own ways and places to help with the common cause without trying to force roles on anybody.

I have also learned that some people require a structured hierarchy to function, those sorts of people, tho well meaning, often distract the group from the actual goal in pursuit of the hierarchical structure they feel they need to function.

I am not down with that, I like to work in good faith with people that all have something to offer in pursuit of a goal that I find important, and that as luck would have it, they do as well.

Want you want from me I can not give you, I am just an old blue collar hippie in search of same to make a difference.

That is how I work, if I have no place here so be it, but I did not feel it was my place to make a call (that could legally affect another member of the group) without his participation, nor am I interested in investing my time in writing a manifesto meant to clarify peoples places in a pecking order I do not feel needs to exist.

I am a free range graphic artist that is only trying to contribute, don't try to make this something I would not wish to be a part of, that happened the last big project that started out just fine until certain folks decided there must be a rigid orthodoxy that ruined it for me, if you must know, I am talking about the PI project and I will not repeat that.

but MY happiness is uniquely mine, just like yours.

"rigidity" "force rules" "structured hierarchy" "without HIS participation" "writing a manifesto" "pecking order" "rigid orthodoxy" I don't understand how these comments fit into a workers CO-OP when all are team members and have equal rights. Permission is given by consensus, all team members make the decision not 1 person. Communes used this kind of concept and my point is that permission, for me, is from all not 1 person.

If the .org is set-up as a non-profit, liability is to the corp. not to the individual.

You seem to have a passion for the graphics and my passion is for eliminating inequality in any way possible, so I'm going to step aside and pursue other adventures and TRULY hope love and happiness comes your way!

Happy Trails

Sounds like a lot of work, though.

In seriousness, the intent (if this thing actually ever gets airborne) would be to set up a structure that's as egalitarian as possible AND that also works well. I don't know what that means in practice, but some suggestions would be great.

In the mean time, I'm going to try to just get something up, then we can see where it leads, if anywhere.

9. I can only speak for myself, but the "someone else"
Sat Feb 14, 2015, 05:30 AM
Feb 2015

in a context such as - finding Someone else besides fiscal conservatives helping multinational corporations and the wealthy acquire most of the world's wealth and concentrating it in a very few hands, is a commitment that will last as long as such parasites do.

I fight for the common man, I am quite common and so the fight is for my own survival as well. Having been born into poverty and hopelessness, having by necessity of survival joined the work force at fifteen; I know well the pain, depression, and insecurity that overpower most people in the poor and working classes.

For every dollar that is extracted from my people to line the already too full pockets of the new aristocracy, there is one less loaf of bread, one less chance to pay the rent in full when it is due, one less cubic litre of gas to warm someone that shivers in the night and all simply to add a digit to hoarded wealth that will never be spent, let alone spent on survival as would be the case had their victims been able to keep it as reward for the seemingly never ending work they must do merely to subsist while they fall even further behind on even that simple goal.

It is a story as old as humanity, given the chance sociopaths labor tirelessly not to earn their food shelter and security, but rather to take all there is until the starving populations rise up out of desperation and the biological imperative to survive. If it is allowed to progress too far, the endings are usually quite bloody. It is therefore imperative that those that hate bloodshed use any and all political means at their disposal before those that die from lack or wars waged by sociopaths for money grow too rapidly for containment options to remain peaceful.

What a wonderful idea! Let's be ready for someone else besides those abetting sociopaths in the destruction of the common people, the poor, the workers, and even those in the middle class that although comfortable are targets as well in such a cycle that would erase such a class as a finishing touch.

The long term plan is survival aspirant, and I am ready for someone else both now and further down the path to help lead us out of this cycle of death and despair.

I like this whole "ready for someone else" idea, it's spot on.

I was wondering if it should include Bush references (to show we are rejecting both families) or if the Bush issue should be a separate thing.

In my mind it's two sides of the same coin, Bush and Clinton, so a paired, non-partisan component to this campaign might be appropriate. It is also good IMHO to try to reach all people across the spectrum, not just Dems, we need to rid ourselves of the corporate dominance of our elections and of our government.

18. Interesting you should be wondering that, because I have actually
Sat Feb 14, 2015, 04:35 PM
Feb 2015

started an animated GIF based on the theme that does exactly that, cycle through ghost-like photos of the two dynasties on one side of the banner while varying scenes of war and trickle down created poverty cycle through on the other.

After all, both families agree on policies that create war while imposing "reforms" that actually increase poverty - even if they do appear to disagree on such things as marriage equality and the right of woman to be equal with control over their own bodies.

People want "Someone else" largely based on what both those groups of fiscal Conservatives agree upon after all.

20. Right on
Sat Feb 14, 2015, 05:32 PM
Feb 2015

Let us know if you ever finish it.

I could see a bumper sticker based on a non-partisan rejection of the Bushes and Clintons going viral nationwide, it's a widely held feeling but I have seen no clear expression of it in a bumper-sticker format. The ready for someone else" slogan fits perfecctly across parties, which is why I was wondering if a bipartisan sticker design (in addition to the ones based more strictly on Hillary's graphics) might be worthwhile.

More broadly, though I woudn't call them fiscal conservatives (more like neoliberal multinationalists the way I see it) it obviously isn't about the Bushes and Clintons as much as it is about the forces that they represent. This POTUS election provides a good opportunity to use those two dynasties, which people are already truly sick of, as a focal point for the bankrupt policies they and their masters will deliver to the majority of people not in the upper 1%.

Edited to add:
Because I am no coward I will answer your points.

Is it really true that I am now more evil than Nader? I mean, i tried really hard to be but it wasn't easy, so many late nights I slaved over human sacrifices or performed degrading sexual acts on Sarah Palin with a ball gag in my mouth and other places I shiver to mention.

I mean a guy can dream, but to actually achieve recognition as the evilest of them all brings a joyful tear to my eye.

I would like to thank the academy, Ralph of course for showing me the way and the princess of darkness Sarah for her unrelenting instruction on how to fuck rats (it ain't easy, those things are smaller than one might think).

I shall ever treasure this recognition and have taken the liberty of purchasing for myself the major award that should accompany such a feat of darkness.

Such a advocate might consider using it after his third way signature so he could have his own fresh brand to associate with his in/famous name.

Unimportant people could be comforted by a such brand that assures them right thinking is so right, and of course fresh.
