Muppets Most Wanted - Good, Bad, & Ugly

Ugly

Considering the atrocities that took place in the Soviet gulags, setting the subplot in a gulag was in really questionable taste.

Bad

They used obvious stand-ins (from the back) for Amy Adams and Jason Segel

This movie is good, but not nearly as good as "The Muppets"

Good

The cameos are fun, although many are brief -- even by cameo standards.

The Miss Piggy/Celene Dion number is good; the faux disco song "I'll Get You What You Want" is hilarious.

Lots of classic movie allusions, including nods to "The Seventh Seal", "Dr. Zhivago", "Lawrence of Arabia", and "The Shawshank Redemption"

Notwithstanding the poor taste of the gulag setting, the prisoner revue (featuring Ray Liotta and Danny Trejo) (with guard Tina Fey joining in) performing "I Hope I Get It" from "A Chorus Line" is pretty funny.

This was much better than the last one IMO. They went back to their roots of performing and I felt they had a better story line. The last one had many slow moments so I was happy they kept this one hopping with all the action and music.

What do you mean by The Muppets? The Muppet Movie? Nothing will ever replace the original Muppet Movie but that's to be expected. Still, they combined a lot of elements from the other movies into this latest and the nostalgia worked for me.

My favorite of the now-seven movies is "Muppet Christmas Carol". It was the first movie after Henson died, and I think of that when Kermit/Bob Cratchit gives the "Life is full of meetings and partings" speech.

The Muppets was my least favorite. I didn't even buy it. I can't wait to own the latest one.
