We joined Neflix in 2003 (!!) - avid DVD renters. Here are some we loved that are more obscure.

Some are old, some are new, many are foreign, many are quirky - some are small films - but this is my favorites list of our last 11 years of watching movies on DVD.

by the way...ask anything about these (though imdb is better...just beware the spoilers!). As you can see, I am not really the action/adventure type!

Some fine watching in that list (to me, anyway...I tried to leave off the "have to be in the mood" type of movies - like Tree of Life - first time we loved it, went back and rewatched it and it didn't work for me)....

Series from Norway about a U.S. mobster (Steve "Little Stevie" Van Zandt) hiding from the bad guys. Really well done.

I can only imagine what investing $1,000 into Netfix stock in 2003 would be worth today.
