Ronda Rousey signs on for 'Road House' remake, taking over Patrick Swayze’s role

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/movies/ronda-rousey-signs-road-house-remake-report-article-1.2353545

It's Ronda Rousey's way or the highway.

The UFC champion has signed on to star in a remake of the 1989 action flick, "Road House" for MGM, playing the part made famous by Patrick Swayze in the original, Variety first reported.

The news comes one month after Paramount nabbed the rights to adapt Rousey's autobiography, "My Fight/Your Fight," with the most popular figure in mixed martial arts attached to star as herself.

In the campy original "Road House," Swayze starred as a philosophical bouncer who puts both the patrons of a tough Missouri bar and a corrupt local tycoon in their places. In other words, Rousey will get to use her fists.

Remakes suck. Always!

Road House

Hollywood has no creativity. They only know how to remake what has gone before. Good or bad. They dupe it all. The problem is, none of the dupes are any good.

I have an idea! Let's remake Psycho.
Bzzzzzzzt! Bad idea, even if one follows the original script.

Hollywood! Idiocy on parade.

And now the comic book publishers are getting into the game. Jeeee-sus! Super Heroes doing impossible things really excites me. I guess I should shred my BS in physics.

Hollywood! Pshaw! The last time I was in Hollywood I knocked on Truman Capote's crypt in the Westwood Memorial Park and invited him to dinner. He did not oblige, the insufferable boor. But at least I was able to kneel at the gravestone of Mel Torme, one of the greatest ever.

Sadly, he doesn't get around much anymore. Sadly, one has to suffer Judy Garland (aka Gumm) in this video.

And there are some performances the transcend Hollywood, like Mel Torme in England.

granted I don't watch UFC and could not possibly care less about Ronda, I saw her at WrestleMania 31 and she just stood there stoney pinchy faced at the world and had negative personality. I hope they can cover for it on the big screen but she's no actress.
