Just saw Network again after many years.

Although prescient in many ways, it seemed really dated and more than a bit preachy.

It seemed like an overwrought graphic novel.

I used to really enjoy the Astaire/Rogers films. They're still nice to look at, but now days the characters seem so brittle and cynical I can only watch them with the sound off.
