Harold Krueger recently celebrated his 90th birthday. His wife had passed away about a month prior, so he wasn't really planning any celebrating. But, one of his daughters got on FaceBook and asked people to send this veteran of three wars a card, thinking it would be nice if he got a few. The post was shared over 650 times.
And now every morning at 9:30, Harold heads to the post office and unloads letter after letter.
Some are birthday cards, and some are thank you cards for serving our country. He's even received a few gifts from current soldiers. The trip to the post office and the kind words have lifted his spirits -- truly a gift that keeps on giving.
