Saying hi (since I finally can). I've been around for awhile, but I don't say much. I don't understand the terminology here much, and some people get pretty nasty in the comments occasionally. I read the articles, get some interesting views from all of you, and every so often, I'll whisper a line and check back later.

4. It election time

and it's an active time with lots of people with favorite candidates who will fight to the end, and past that, for their candidate.

Enjoy it if you can. I hate it sometimes, but in the same token, I really look forward to it. I like listening to the candidates, their mistakes, and seeing whatever mistake is the one to end their candidacy.

Hang in there. You can try DU Lounge to avoid conflicts, but General Discussion is my favorite. Lots of interesting stuff in all the groups. Don't be afraid.

I have been following this site for years but just signed up.Yes it can get downright hostile here at times but it beats arguments with wingnuts at the office.
