Edit post problem with thread title

Last edited Mon Jul 23, 2012, 08:55 PM - Edit history (1)

I went to edit my post to make a correction on this thread.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/125159252

On edit it removed most of my thread title - everything after "Romney's".

There may be a problem with quotation marks when editing posts.

I think I've had other problems with the thread title being wiped out when I try to edit a post. I guess I'll be sure to check every time I edit from now on but I wanted DU to be aware of a potential problem.

Edited to add: I'm on a new iPad using Safari if that's of any help to those who may try to debug this issue, thanks.

when I edited another thread with quotation marks in the title.

On edit everthing after the quotation marks including the quotation marks were gone.

I had to retype the rest of the title that it deleted before clicking Update thread.

I'd just like to add that I've been doing web design since '99 (more design than code) and this is the best forum software I've ever seen.

It runs great and super fast. Truly outstanding!

Keep up the great work!
