to get back to Skinner mode. I have tried everything. Thanks, everyone, for trying to help. I am feeling really low right now. I have always enjoyed coming here, but this really sucks. The DU experience is being ruined for me, after all these years.

1. What happens when you try to use it?

Is the option greyed out? Or do you select it and nothing happens?

Please describe the steps you take to try to turn Skinner Mode on and I should be able to help you.

2. I select it and nothing happens.

then Account Settings. I select Skinner mode. I save all settings. Nothing changes.

That is the correct procedure. I’m going to have to look into this further and it might involve a password reset. 10. Try clearing the cache for your browser

I had the same problem today, couldn't switch back to skinner mode, which I prefer.

I was going to notify Earl G, decided to try clearing my cache first ,and after I did that skinner mode loaded when I hit the refresh button.

I hope this works for you! I tried logging out and back in but that didn't help.
That's when I decided to clear the cache.

6. Everyone was talking about Skinner mode so I tried it after using DU4 for a while.

I find I much prefer DU4 now.

7. I'm missing the previous home page

The current home page in skinner mode is very stale, compared to the old home page. I'm subsisting on latest discussions for now after I exhaust the front page. I hope it's a major improvement on the back end.

Skinner fixed my problem for me. I think he cares about getting this right and keep the members happy. I was ready to leave, too. Now I feel reassured.
